ABOUT ME:
Jason Bungo
I am a personal trainer located in Northwest Atlanta, GA. I became a personal trainer to help people change their bodies and lifestyles for the better. My love of fitness started at a very young age through many different sport programs such as football, basketball and baseball; but I eventually focused on swimming and weight training in high school. As I got older, I began to participate in more endurance events, eventually finishing events such as Ironman triathlons, 50 Mile Trail Ultramarathons and Ultra Distance Obstacle Course Races. I thoroughly enjoy all forms of fitness and have a big passion for the outdoors.
I have experience working with all different types of individuals who have goals including weight loss, muscle building, and athletic performance. I also have experience working with individuals recovering from or living with various injuries, surgeries or illnesses including back, knee, hip, shoulder, heart, immune, diabetes, fibromyalgia, cancer, stroke and many others. I find my work very rewarding and enjoy seeing and speaking with my clients daily as much, if not more than, seeing the incredible progress they make.
Training approach
Our approach will incorporate many different methods. We want each individual to be comfortable and strong with the fundamental movements: pushing, pulling, squatting, hinging, lunging, carrying, and rotating. At first we want to make sure the individual is stable in the movements, we then progress to build their muscular endurance, then strength and power. Each program is an individually tailored approach based on each individuals' goals, currents abilities, and lifestyle factors.
We also want to teach the individual why we are doing these movements and workouts so they have a better understanding and continue to advance their abilities throughout their life.
Next we evaluate individuals' current nutrition and look for opportunities to improve. We want to avoid any radical changes and focus on small habit changes overtime which will have a big impact.
Last, we will take a look at the day to day activities of an individual and other lifestyle factors, such as sleep, and look for opportunities to improve. Once again, small changes overtime have a great impact!
